I am getting my IUD next Tuesday and no one has called to tell me what to do prior to my appointment.  Should someone call me with my pap results, etc. or am I supposed to call them?  I just had my ultrasound last night and from what the tech told me, all appears well.  I guess I might just be getting nervous and I want to make sure that I am doing the right thing.  I will be so frustrated if at this point, something happens and I can't do this Tuesday.  Thanks!

Hi everyone!  I first want to start with a huge "Thank You", this group has made this IUD decision so much easier to make.  A little about me:  I am 29, going to be 30 in October, married and have an 8 almost 9 year-old son.  I decided when I had my son, Colton, that if I was never blessed with any more children by then time that I was 30...I was done.  So now as the big 30 rolls around, I decided that it was time to take action.  I originally was going to have the Essure procedure, but after finding this group and reading your stories, I have decided that Paragard will be my choice.  I haven't picked out a name for my Paragard yet, but I am trying to narrow the list down.  Tomorrow is my consult with my doctor and I can honestly say that I am making this decision by being educated and informed, again, thanks to you.  I will keep everyone updated with my journey and I look forward to becoming a Diva!

Now, my question...I have very irregular periods, just my blessing from nature, no specific cause for them.  Has anyone else had irregular periods and if so, how are they with the Paragard?  Also, did you have your Paragard placed during your period or not?  Thanks for your input!!!
